Legal fees
How much does a lawyer cost in Estonia? This page sets out the lawyer fees Estonia-based Erovik Law Office charges for its most common work. All prices are in euros and are final: the office is not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added.
Price list
| Service | Fee |
|---|---|
| Initial written legal analysis and action plan | €120–180 (simpler cases usually €120) |
| Demand letter | €120–200 |

| Review or amendment of a contract or other document | from €120 |
| Statement of claim | from €300 |
| Reply (defence) to a statement of claim | by agreement |
| Other court documents and representation | by agreement |
| Hourly rate | €60–80 per hour |
Where the table shows a range, a starting price or no fixed figure, we agree the price for your matter with you before any work starts.
Order only what you need
You do not have to hire us for a whole case. You can order a single document – for example a demand letter for an unpaid invoice or a reply to one – or one procedural stage, without full representation. If you are unsure where you stand, you can start with the initial written legal analysis and action plan, which sets out an assessment of your situation and the next steps. For court cases, see court disputes in Estonia.
Complex, urgent and international matters
Exceptionally complex, urgent or international matters may get a separate quote. Please say in your first message if the matter is urgent or involves parties in other countries. Note that we advise only on Estonian law.
Agreement and prepayment
- Scope, the desired result and the price are agreed before work starts.
- Work is done in clear stages, and you know what each stage costs before it begins.
- New clients normally pay 50–100% in advance, or prepay the first agreed stage.
What is not included
Our fees cover our own work. Costs charged by others are paid separately, for example:
- state fees;
- expert opinions;
- translations;
- notary fees;
- other third-party costs.
Can you recover legal costs from the other side?
Under Estonian law, it may be possible to recover your legal costs from the other side, for example if you win a court case. This cannot be guaranteed.
